Big life events change our path … nothing you can do about it.
David’s Three Big “Forward” Decisions [3:03]
Facing loss and the grief process, within the first couple of weeks I made these three decisions that have guided me almost every step of the way.
- I will be whole again, no matter what it takes
- I choose to believe that good things will happen in the future
- I will make a difference because of this
So, how do we step into our great adventure? [5:52]
#1 … We have to be willing to embrace a new path [6:00]
#2 … We have to be willing to take risks (we will regret what we didn’t do more than what we did) [8:16]
#3 … We have to believe that either path will be okay (which thing would you rather be glad for) [9:54]
#4 … We have to face disappointment (I am sorry to disappoint you) [12:36]
#5 … You have to be confident in your ability to hear and solve problems. [14:54]
#6 … No plan B… but are you willing to live with Plan C? [16:06]
I’ve stood at a few death beds. I’ve listened to a few people who were about to die. I’ve watched a few people die. On that day, when they know, the only thing that’s matters to them is how they lived life, the people they loved, and the investments they made in those they love. They care about their relationship with God, how they feel about that. Not much else. And everything always works out okay. [19:00]
[shareable]I believe life never ends. So, I want to live this part of it with excellence.[/shareable]

Calibration Tools for Lifting Those You Love and Lead [22:16]
#1 … Ask the possibility question: If you had $10M what would you do? If the possibility for failure were totally removed, what would you do? If you could do anything you wanted to do and you could not fail, what would you do?
#2 … What is the number one, non-negotiable thing that you MUST do?
#3 … What thing would you rather be “glad” about?
